Wentia Ford is a board-certified Physician Assistant with professional memberships with the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and certifications in ACLS and BLS. She has previously been a member of the Texas Medical Association Alliance Committee, Eastern Virginia Medical School Biomedical Science Student Organization President, and Norfolk State University Self-Study Steering Committee.
Wentia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Norfolk State University, Masters (thesis) of Science in Biology Thesis at Old Dominion University and continued to earn her doctorate in Biomedical Science at Old Dominion University/Eastern Virginia Medical School. She went on to complete her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley in 2015.
Wentia’s training includes Program Director of Health Science and Assistant Professor at South University Virginia Beach Campus 2011-2012; Postdoctoral Research Associate, Old Dominion University and Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine 2008-2011; Adjunct Assistant Professor Cellular and Molecular Biology, Old Dominion University 2008 and Human Anatomy & Physiology at Tidewater Community College (Norfolk Campus) 2008-2009.
